Spring High School Theatre students recently concluded their run in the UIL One-Act Play Competition, showcasing their talent, dedication, and teamwork throughout the season. Under the direction of Spring High School Theatre Arts teacher, Dr. Rob Connick, the students delivered a strong performance and represented the campus with pride. While the team did not advance to the next round, the students demonstrated outstanding performance and professionalism both on and off the stage.

Several Spring High School students received individual honors for their exceptional contributions during the competition:

  • Avery Foucheaux – All-Star Technician

  • David Robinson – Honorable Mention All-Star Cast

  • Aaleyah Davis – All-Star Cast

  • Arianna Washington – All-Star Cast

The UIL One-Act Play Contest is a statewide competition where similarly sized Texas schools present an 18–40 minute theatrical production that is evaluated by a panel of judges. Students are recognized not only for their acting, but also for their technical theatre skills and overall production quality.

In addition to competing, Spring High School proudly served as the host campus for three days of UIL One-Act Play competitions and three days of rehearsals. Our students played an important role in supporting the event, helping ensure that the competition ran smoothly for participating schools from across the district.

Through their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, Spring High School Theatre students represented the campus with pride and demonstrated the strong culture of collaboration and leadership that defines the Mighty Lions community.
